Unfortunately, the phrase ‘goal achieving’ doesn’t trip off the tongue with the same familiar ring that goal setting does. All too often when people talk about setting goals they are talking about how to accomplish or achieve their goal.

And I did set a saving goal to get myself some pallet furniture for my home office/living room. For the last few weeks I have been documenting my progress here under blog titles; Delay GratificationSMARTFacing Challenges, and Getting back on Track

The journey to achieve my set goal/target has been challenging but because I had worked on my mindset before I started, the challenges didn’t stop me. I developed a positive attitude and focused on the goal – those beautiful pallet chair sets.

So when I gave up on my lifestyle as mentioned in ‘Getting Back on Track’, I have been able to save twice my goal. Now I have 750,000Ugshs saved away. The tips on here have been so helpful but also it has been a struggle, a struggle that I will continue until the end.

One thing I have surely learnt from this exercise is that you can’t wait for perfect alignment, when you do, then you will never start. This is the first step and the hardest one to take. But once you do take it, then it becomes slightly easier, and the one after that easier again.
